Medetec Medical Image Databases

Medetec Medical Images are divided into two groups. The first, shown below, is the wound database. This contains images of leg ulcers, malignant wounds, extravasation injuries and other soft tissue injuries conveniently grouped together. The second group contains images of wound dressings and related materials.

Many of these images were orginally captured as 35mm transparencies the quality of which has been affected by the presence of mould growth. Whilst every effort has been made to repair this damage, the quality of some of the images remains somewhat degraded.
