New Product Development

Dr Thomas has spent many years testing and evaluating all types of dressings and wound management materials both in the laboratory and the clinical setting and has been involved with development work on some of the most widely used dressings on the UK and world market including the following groups of products;

• alginates and fibrous dressings made from carboxymethylcellulose
• hydrocolloids, foams and films
• antimicrobial products (including silver dressings)
• compression bandages and compression hosiery

He has also been responsible for a number of award winning clinical innovations in the dressings field.
This experience has resulted in the formation of a unique blend of specialized knowledge which should be of value to companies involved in new product development.
